Dr. Terra Winston was born with a passion for health and wellness starting at a young age. She was known to carry around her ‘doctor’s bag’ full of sugar pills and bandages to patch up any willing patient at six years old. Her journey into the medical field was derailed after personal experiences with conventional doctors left her discouraged and less than satisfied with her care. She turned away from the conventional system in high school and began making dietary changes to reverse her disease.
Only after resolving to open a healthy alternative bakery and café and pursuing degrees in food service management and marketing did she discover Bastyr University and the world of naturopathic medicine. Only 2 short weeks after hearing the term naturopath, she registered for classes and began her journey to become the doctor she always wanted to be.
Dr. Winston graduated with her degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. She believes in working with her patients to tailor the most efficient and effective treatment plan to their personal needs. She maintains her passion for using food as medicine and also loves using her hands to cure physical ailments, such as traumatic injuries and everyday aches and pains. She has completed additional training in prolotherapy, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, KT taping, and several forms of naturopathic spinal manipulation.
In her free time you can find her on the soccer field, exploring the great outdoors, lifting weights or cheering on the Seahawks on a Sunday afternoon. She enjoys cooking dinner with her partner and continues baking “healthy” treats and snacks for those with food sensitivities. Terra also has a passion for art, and utilizes this outlet for stress reduction, balancing right-brain function and creating unique gifts for loved ones.
